Sumitra Saha is doing a PhD in FFS-CRC funded Novel Microbiome project under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Kirsty Bayliss at Murdoch University. As a fourth staple food, potatoes are particularly vulnerable to abiotic challenges due to climate change. Therefore, Sumitra is explicitly looking for beneficial potato microbiomes that can boost potato productivity in the long run by improving the plant’s heat stress resilience without harming the ecosystem.
