Katherine Keane is a PhD candidate at Queensland University of Technology’s School of Law in Brisbane. Katherine’s doctoral studies delve into governance of the food relief sector in Australia, with a focus on governmental obligations to fulfil the human right to adequate food. She says, ‘I have a keen interest in investigating how governance can be improved to better fulfill human rights, exploring the ways in which government and civil society interact in this process.’ Katherine is supervised in her studies by QUT Associate Professors Hope Johnson and Bridget Lewis. She is the recipient of a Future Food Systems CRC top-up scholarship.
