Message from the CEO
The excitement is building for a huge week in Western Australia in late February, with Future Food Systems’ (FFS’s) very own For Food’s Sake Summit occurring on February 22, along with a number of agrifood-related events happening in the West. The chance to network and develop new partnerships with industry, research and government representatives, along with the opportunity to gain crucial learnings from thought-leaders at the forefront of agrifood innovation, presents an opportunity not to be missed.
Not too sure what to expect? For Food’s Sake will provide attendees with an action-packed day full of intellectually tasty morsels, with our Summit at Murdoch University providing a platform for a series of discussions and keynote presentations on hot topics affecting the agrifood sector and consumers in tomorrow’s landscape. In addition to the Summit, attendees have the opportunity to enjoy a memorable culinary experience at the Gala Dinner held at the prestigious 6HEAD restaurant in the Chevron building at Elizabeth Quay, Perth.
For Food’s Sake proceedings will wrap up on February 23, with a tour of the newly opened Food Technology Facility. The tour is set to take place on the opening day of the facility and will provide guests with an overview of the potential, set to assist SMEs with new product development and access to state-of-the-art equipment.
Finally, I would like to acknowledge the amazing support of all our For Food’s Sake sponsors, including Murdoch University, 6HEAD Perth, Food Innovation Precinct Western Australia (FIPWA), Turbine Precinct / Food and Agribusiness Network (FAN), Great Southern Truffles, Silverplace, Peel Development Commission, Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) and Business Events Perth. Their valuable contribution has played an integral role in forging the foundations for this event.
