William Reed Publishing’s Growth Asia gathering returns for 2022 in a hybrid format: the three-day in-person summit in Singapore, just past, and a digital summit the following week.
This year the spotlight is on three key areas of growth in foods, beverages and supplements across the Asia-Pacific region: products for healthy ageing; pre- and pro-biotics; and proteins – animal, plant and cultured.
The organisers promise ‘extensive expert insights from a raft of big-name brands, leading academics, policy experts and the most innovative suppliers’.
Agenda highlights
The APAC region has vast growth potential. Growth areas in the food and beverage sector include functional and fortified products, ‘health’ foods and drinks, supplements and nutraceuticals.
- Day 1 of the summit is focused on healthy ageing – appropriate in a region in which 1.3 billion people are expected to reach or exceed the age of 60 by 2050.
- Day 2 is dedicated to pre- and probiotics, and the microbiome, connecting business and scientific thought in these booming categories.
- The focus of Day 3 is on innovations in proteins, including plant proteins, one of APAC’s fastest-growing categories; the emerging cultivated non-animal protein space; and animal protein, including meat, dairy and seafood.
The three-day digital summit is designed to help industry navigate the region’s highly diverse consumer, regulatory, cultural and economic landscape, enabling players in this space to reap the substantial returns on offer.
