Part 2 of the Cooperative Research Australia (CRA) conference takes place during 2022 Federal Budget week, so the organisers have put together an active program of Parliamentary engagement.
This includes a ‘Cooperative Research meets Parliament Day’ on Thursday 31 March, incorporating the 30th Anniversary Innovation Showcase in The Great Hall at Parliament House between 12 noon and 2pm.
The 3oth Anniversary Innovation Showcase will include 30 CRC stalls displaying examples of collaborative research leading to innovation across the food, agricultural and environmental sectors as well as health and medical services, manufacturing, mining and infrastructure, social and economic development and more.
Future Food Systems will be in attendance, with our Research & Commercialisation Director, UNSW Professor Cordelia Selomulya and Digital Assets whiz William Ngo manning Booth 6, adjacent to the main stage.
Guests of the Showcase will include various Senators, members of Australia’s diplomatic corps and industry associations, senior public servants, advisors and the media, along with Collaborate Innovate conference delegates.
A highlight of Collaborate Innovate Part Two will be the 30th Anniversary Gala Dinner and Excellence in Innovation Awards, taking place at the Museum of Australian Democracy in Old Parliament House on the evening of Day 1. One of Australia’s most distinguished champions of innovation, David Thodey AO, will deliver the keynote address.
Day 2 (1 April) includes practice sessions, workshops and plenaries at QT Canberra. Future Food Systems CRC Chair and NFF President Fiona Simson will give a 10-minute presentation as part of the opening plenary session.
Participants can also sign up for workshops and in-person community of practice meetings.
